One letter from C.H. Folies to Frances Davenport dated June 7, 1864. Informs her that he has had trouble finding information on the death of her husband as all of the wounded had been taken away by the time he reached the field. Reports that he heard some third hand information that George Davenport was seen unconscious in hospital five days after he was wounded but did not want to tell her this until he had seen the man himself and knew the information to be correct. He never found the man but heard from someone else the same information.
