Informs her that when he visited the capital he heard a number of speeches and went to the "presedents house and saw old abe [Abraham Lincoln] and shook hands with him..." Encloses five dollars in the letter. Letter is addressed to Masonville in Delaware County, New York. Written at Camp California.
