Sends Dr. Fuller to his wife to explain to her what occurred at the Battle of Bull Run. Explains that Dr. Fuller is a good friend and she should ask him any questions she has. Writes that he has been in the hospital for a day or so. Tells his wife that much of the regiment will return home, however, he wants to re-enlist, which could last as long as three years. Says it will depend somewhat on her wishes.
