Dear All, Have been intending to write every day but have rather waited for your next which I have recd today dated 26th ult. & mailed 28th ult. It was just about a week since I had recd a letter from you. Your papers have all been recd & are most acceptable. To day recd Indpt, New Haven paper & Bulletin. I have been to Norfolk & Portsmouth to day on business for the company, the first time I have been away from camp for an hour since we returned. Sam Foss had a severe attack of cholic this evening & Alf. G. & my self going on to his tent after supper found him in considerable pain & we have been with him all the evening. Al Goddard is a grand nurse, he seemed to know just what to do & how to do it. I am not worth any thing at a sick bed. Foss is now easier & I hope will come out all right. I send by this mail Norfolk papers. Will write again tomorrow or next day. Love to Uncle Geo & Aunty - Mary but most & best to mo, sis & bro. Remember me to every body, Affct son & bro Chas
