President-elect Major General Zachary Taylor writes to her to acknowledge receipt of a letter from her. Mentions his gratitude for the support of women in his election: "it was but rarely have I had intercours[e] with one of 'heaven's best gifts to man' but was a staunch Whig." One full length seated engraving of Taylor included.
