Shows the Confederate line, the positions of Union brigades, and a skirmish in the Battle of Atlanta. The legend indicates the positions at the beginning of the battle, the charging that occurred ("Rebel line charging") and the new line that was formed after the first fight. Major General James B. McPherson was killed on this date. Colored ink on paper.
