In the right foreground is the Slaughter Pen, denoted by the large boulders and Plum Run ["Bloody Run"] in the extreme right bottom corner. Inscription on verso: "Gardner." Frassanito identifies the photograph as O'Sullivan's. Numeric notation on verso: "319"; "XX 319"; and "VII."
