A frontal portrait of the first lady, who is seated and holds a bouquet of flowers. Imprint on recto "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1862, by M.B.Brady, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the U.S. for the So. District of New York." Graphite inscription on verso "Mrs. Lincoln." Photographers imprint on verso: "Published by E.Anthony 501 Broadway New York from Photographic negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery."
