His left hand rests on his right wrist. His sword lays across his left arm. Ink inscription on verso "Henry M. Judah Brig Gen Vols., Major 4th Inf and Bvt Col USA" "Died at Plattsburg, New York Jan 14th 1866.' Photographers imprint on verso: "Published by E. & H.T. Anthony 501 Broadway New York from Photographic Negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery."
