The newspaper is from the Southern Confederacy and includes an account from the Grand Jury of the Confederate court, a story about longterm sicknesses in Richmond, an account of Battle at Murfreesboro, lists of casualties from the Third Georgia Battalion, and a commentary on the political climate. There are also a number of local advertisments of various descriptions and notices about runaway slaves. On the fourth page there is a copy of a resolution that authorizes the Governor of Georgia to supply clothing and supplies to the military as well as a long list of deserters wanted for abandoning their post.
