A notice announces the need to raise taxes to put local impassable streets in order. An editorial from the London Times questions Lincoln's habit to arm slaves. An official schedule lists prices for Louisiana's commissary stores and quartermasters' stores. Slave sales are included. Opelousas was under Federal occupation at the time.
