Certified, on 7 August 1843, that Mary Smith, a widow who came to Texas in August 1842, was entitled to a conditional grant of 640 acres in San Augustine County, Texas (accordance with a Texas congressional act passed 15 January 1842). Beneath it is a transfer of Smith's certificate to A.J. Brightwell dated 6 March 1850 and a attestation to the transfer by the clerk, P.M. Graham dated 18 March 1850.
