Writes about various soldiers in the regiment including the death of Jimmy Haslehurst, the man who was accidentally shot by a fellow soldier (see letter #77). Reports that a large number of recruits have come to the regiment of which company "K" has received sixteen. Writes that he is glad that the presidential election is over and that Lincoln has won again.
