Written at 10:00 PM at home. Sylvia is relieved to know Moe is shipping out and is following him on his journey in her mind's eye. Said one of the "girls " told her that her husband had been stationed at Fort Hamilton [Brooklyn] and she never knew it when he was there and never got to see him. So that their situation was better, really. She accepts that she will probably not see Moe because "of the ways of war."

Fort Hamilton-Army installation located in Brooklyn, New York.
