The document is typed by Lt. Col. Hubert D. Barnes to the Adjutant General in Washington, D.C. The document details action against enemy and the after-action report for the month of August. The battalion was assigned to the 333rd F. A. Group in general support of the 8th Infantry Division. Cpl. Fred Johnson and Pfc. John W. Fields were killed and four men were wounded during a road block attack. The French had captured German prisoners in nearly every town.
