One letter from Robert A. Winemiller to Leonard Eugene Graeff dated February 5, 1943. Robert relays that instead of marching for six weeks they marched for twenty miles. He mentions that in two weeks he will leave for a better place and hopes it will be to the east. He mentions Dottie and their friendship. He also mentions "Our chow is strictly from cans...No fresh fruits vegetables or milk. Either canned or concentrated...On a lot of these problems we get very little to eat, sleep. We never wash or shave. So you can imagine how we feel and look." He references the Mohave Desert as the location of a 21 day training trip. Signed "Bob the dogface."Written at Camp Forrest
