One letter from Robert Winemiller to Leonard Eugene Graeff dated July 24, 1943. After asking about Leonard's love life, Robert asserts "Say boy stay out of the army!!! Why you'll find out if you get in; Be patriotic but you can do it other ways." Robert relays his unit has been in the field two months at this point. During four days a week the soldiers get "very little sleep & very little to eat."
