He had letters from them, June Walter, Dottie Erickson, Dot Runk, Miss Shoemaker, and Johnny Gassert. June updated him on a dance that she went to with a lot of "the old gang" and he wishes he were home. Dot Runk updated him on her and Robert Winemiller's relationship. He also attended a U.S.O show and saw Bob Hope. He lets them know he sent a gift and photos to be distributed to his aunts Malinda Graeff, Bertha Hutton, and Arvilla Good.
