One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated August 5, 1944. He updates them on his day, and comments that the day before was payday. He complains that it doesn't really mean much because all there is to spend it on is stuff you have to take with you next time you move, or leisure which gives you nothing to show for it. As a result he sent home a money order for his savings account, and inquires about the balance. He thanks Susan for sending letters he is always glad to receive them even if she thinks there is not much in them. He mentions hearing from Mrs. Stouffer that Wayne Stouffer is near a large city in Ireland. He also sympathizes with Rosalina Fencil's medical problems. He comments that Susan would probably like pineapple in response to her question of what it tasted like.
