He received their Friday letter and is glad they went to visit family while Raymond was on vacation. He is glad to hear that everything is going well with the family and is anxious to see the photos of Jessie Hollis and family. Mentions it has been a year since he was inducted into the service. It feels to him, to have gone by fast, but as he looks back, it was a long time. He is hoping to be home for Christmas 1945.
