One letter from David F. Bush to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated January 4, 1974. Bush supports the impeachment of President Nixon. He identifies himself as a registered and active Republican for over 50 years. He mentions the people's confidence in Gerald Ford, and writes, "For over 20 years I supported, voted for, and defended Richard Nixon. But I feel that he has let me, his party, and his country down. As for the Republican Party, I think it has just two choices: Either to act promptly and decisively to get rid of Nixon; or to continue to give him express or implied support - and to quietly and permanently fold up after the next election."
