One letter from Karl and Barbara Pottharst to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated November 5, 1973. Pottharst supports the impeachment of President Nixon. He writes that the original was sent to Pottshart's own Congressman reproduced a photocopy for Congressman Moorehead due to the "gravity of the situation." Pottharst mentions the Cambodia bombing and missing Watergate tapes. He writes, "By now, President Nixon's track record is clear-- despite his foreign policy accomplishments he cannot perform as the nation's Chief Executive without engaging repeatedly in actions of the most questionable legality or constitutionality. He cannot really maintain a stable government, evidenced by the 'revolving door' cabinet and other high level appointments. He mistakes fanatical loyalty willing to subvert the law for integrity in his associates. He justifies illegal actions time after time (Cambodia bombing, withholding the tapes) by executive privilege and national security."
