Coddaire writes that he is in England probably on leave and he went to the seaside yesterday, and then went to a tea room for tea and cakes. He says that they created a furor on the bus ride as they handed out choclate to the kids and were nearly mobbed. He also mentions that he got two packages from her with chocolate and plum pudding. Coddaire also mentions going to the movies, and that he has been running movies in one of the classrooms. He mentions Eddie Roe who has a job in Washington. Roe mentioned that there are new contracts with Paramount and Richmond that call for a week vacation and wage increase, and that there is talk of trying the same at the Mohawk. Coddaire says he would like to get back home and aboard that job again.
