One letter addressed to Joyce Robinson to Richard J. DiChristina dated December 3, 1969. Pertains to missing her during the holidays and financial matters. His squad has now stopped for water on their march. He mentions to Joyce that he would like her to save the "VC" (Viet Cong) money he sends her (not included). He looks forward to ten more months until they are married, "right?" He writes that he no longer sees a "PX" (post exchange) because he is "in the field so much." At each stop the platoon makes, DiChristina pens more of his letter to Joyce. By 3:30 pm, they stop for the night and DiChristina tells Joyce he will now write a letter to his mother.
