"Uplift" poster sold to African American families with relatives in the service during World War I. This poster features a family with a young girl, a young boy, a baby and the wife, looking at a fireplace and mantle. Above the mantle is a picture of a soldier surrounded by pictures of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Woodrow Wilson. There is also a small banner with a blue star on a white field bordered in red hanging in a window visible in the background. The caption on the bottom declares "True Blue".
