Front of medal features profile of Andrew Jackson and the words "Andrew Jackson President of the United States. A.D. 1829," most likely designed by Moritz Furst. Verso features two hands shaking, a tomahawk crossed with a pipe, and the words, "Peace and Friendship," designed by John Reich. Some scratching on front and back.

These medals were issued towards the end of Jackson's administration in 1833 due to delays from the Secretary of War. Indian peace medals were distributed to Indian tribes by the U.S. government as part of diplomatic relations.
