Augsberger wishes that he could hold Ardena in his arms tonight. He writes that unfortunately war has torn them apart and they must endure hardships without each other. He recalls how a year ago today "I held my right hand up and I said I do sominally swear, etc." He looks forward to reuniting with Ardena and sends his love.
