Augsberger tells Ardena that he longs for the day when they can be together again. He writes "I sure will be glad when this damn war is over. And you will be back in my arms to stay." Unfortunately, he says that he expects it will be a little longer yet till this happens. However he promises that he will be back some day. Augsberger asks Ardena to give his regards to everyone at home and sends his love. He asks her to write soon and send him pictures.
