Ruth Lapidus
Ruth Lapidus graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and Hunter College in New York City. She has an MA in public health administration from Pace University and was a medical records administrator. Ruth now has two principal philanthropic interests: Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, where she is a past president, and the American Jewish Committee, where she is on the board of governors.
Sid Lapidus
Sid Lapidus graduated from Princeton University and Columbia Law School. In 2007, he retired after forty years as a partner of Warburg Pincus LLC, one of the country’s leading private equity firms. He is the lead director of Lennar, the country’s largest homebuilder. Sid is also on the board of numerous charitable and non-profit organizations, including the American Jewish Historical Society, which he serves as chair.
Ruth and Sid have three married children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
