Resolution of the General Assembly regarding the publication of the appointment of General Robert E. Lee to the command of the armies of the Confederate states.
Resolution adopted January 24th 1863.)
Resolved by the General Assembly, That the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Delegates be instructed to Communicate, personally, with the President of the Confederate States, and ascertain whether it will be agreeable to him, and Compatible, in his judgment, with the public interests, that his Communication on the Subject of the appointment of Genl Ro E Lee to the Command of all the Armies of the Confederate States, be published.
