Glover, noted leader of the 14th Continental Regiment during the Revolutionary War, discusses a shipment of oil with Hays, a lawyer. Mentions Mr. Stilman, Mr. Secur, and the price of oil.
Following the Revolution, Glover served two terms in the Massachusetts legislature and six terms on the Marblehead Board of Selectmen. The 14th Regiment was known for transporting George Washington's forces across the Delaware River in December 1776.
