Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Printed by Stevenson & Nichols at No. 22 & 24 Healey's Arcade. Calls "The Citizens of Ward Six who are Liable to a Draft" for a public meeting to get sufficient volunteers to avoid a draft. Meeting being called in anticipation of another call for volunteers from the president. Two small holes, one in the top right section and one on the middle left section Neither repaired.
