"I would like to tell you something about ourselves & our Yankton Mission. I will tell you the first thing is that our young Missionary was born on Thursday morning in last week and we are very happy Our Mission among the Yanktons is increasing very much. The our Services are well attended. In last Saturday…I went up to the Swan Mission 17 miles from here, & only Paul stay in this church. I started from here in the afternoon, and I arrived there in the evening. I held the service a 10 oclock A.M. & baptized two young men, & we have Service again at 2 ½ o oclock P.M. & I baptized eight persons, one old man & with his wife & two women, two boys & two girls. I like to stay there over night but there are no teacher in the our School, so I obliged come back, so I came back soon as the Service is over and I go back here at 10 P.M. So I was very tired in that night. In a short time ago, this tribe, they don't know anything about our Saviour, & they lived in heathenism. Now they are a great change, they are became Christians, & civilizations, & their war hoops change to praising God, & came to a better life. I hope in short time this tribe all come to our Saviour's fold, & to worship & obey Him the only true God. If God spare my life, I will trying to do something more for my Saviour among these my poor countrymen, & telling them about our dear Saviour who died to Save their souls & our heavenly Father's love to them."
