Lieutenant Colonel Gorgas, Chief of Ordnance, writes to Letcher, Governor of Virginia. Gorgas offers to exchange 800 rifles for 800 flintlock muskets, for use in Colonel [Zulukowski's?] Regiment. Proposes that the exchange take place before 1 January 1862. Written on Confederate States of America, War Department, Ordnance Office stationery. One bust engraving of Gorgas included as collateral.
