Ramsey informs President Hayes that General Robert N. McLaren's term as Marshal of the District of Minnesota will soon expire. Recommends McLaren's recommission.
Ramsey served as United States Representative from Pennsylvania 1843-1846 and Senator from Minnesota 1863-1874. He was Governor of Minnesota 1860-1863.
