Speaker John Hathorn's payment of 29 pounds 12 shillings for Lamb's attendance from 15 January to 23 March 1784. Includes Lamb's endorsed receipt of funds.
Lamb was a leader in the Sons of Liberty prior to the Revolution and helped form the New York committee of correspondence to coordinate anti-British activity. In 1784, he became collector of customs in New York City and later became one of the leaders of the opposition to the U.S. Constitution in New York. Hathorn was a member of the State assembly 1778, 1780, 1782-1785, 1795, and 1805, and served as speaker in 1783 and 1784.
