My dear Sir
Convinced that you are always made happy when placed in a situation to do good I enclose a petition of John Baley with a description of a new steam Jack by him made and have consigned to you the Jack all expenses I will pay If convenient prove it, put it in a proper house for examination & c. Any expenses which shall be necessary I will refund.
I wish to see Philadelphia this winter I have business of a public nature to transact-Will you tender to the President my most dutiful affects and inquire of him whether, when the business of the year is over, I may be indulged
