Nanfan welcomes Livingston's return to Albany, after having been on a mission to the Onondaga tribe in an effort to maintain peaceful relations between the tribe and the colony. Nanfan then further writes that Governor Nicholson, while aboard the frigate 'Shoram Prize,' captured a pirate and "rescued a great many good vessels he had taken," releasing three English prisoners taken by the Pirate.
