Wants the the Washington Daily Globe sent to him while Congress is in session. Asks him to send the bill to Norfolk where he is stationed.
Foxhall Alexander Parker, Sr. was an officer in the United States Navy. Born in Westmoreland County, Virginia, Parker joined the Navy early. In 1821, he served in Constitution. Later, in 1842, he assumed command of Constitution. In 1851, as Commodore, he commanded the Home Squadron. His sons, Foxhall A. Parker, Jr. and William Harwar Parker, were also prominent naval officers.
