Accepts Goetz's invitation to address Goetz's (unspecified) National Society 9 June 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. Bartholdt, who was asked to present on the topic of personal liberty, charges Goetz $100. Possibly written to Fred Goetz, a notorious organized crime participant in the early twentieth century. Typed on House of Representative's stationery.
Bartholdt was born in Schleiz, Germany and immigrated to the United States in April 1872. Bartholdt served as a United States Representative from Missouri 1893-1914, where he served on unumerous committees and as chairman of the Committee on Immigration and Naturalization.
