A pencil inscription reads, "James F. Rusling. Nash[ville]" on front. The image shows a large two story wooden building. A large pile of lumber is visible on the far left of the image. Soldiers sit in the shade along the side of the building. The hospital appears to be in a wooded area somewhere on the mountain. A label on the reverse notes that the image is from the Robert Schoelkopf Gallery.
