My dear sister Yours is just recd, it contains the first new fine hours I have had since we left Hartford & it was most acceptable you can imagine. I am very sorry to hear mother has one of her headaches again I hope it is nothing worse. I suppose it is all over before this but I shall be on the lookout for the next letter & do pray that all may be well. I hope Balu will be successful in getting the place with Genl Casey I think it must be just the plan he would like I am more than satisfied with my position here, every thing is as pleasant as can be, every boddy helping every body & all working for the general good. The extracts from papers enclosed by you were very acceptable I have not read so much printed matter since we left H. except Army Reg & Hardee we have the papers here but I have no time to read them I dont know at all what is going on any where else. Bromley & Mr. Almy have just come in. Mary will take this so you will get it at 8 o'clock to morrow morning. nothing new very well. The "Comedy of Errors" enclosed was not quite correct but there was a foundation for all the incidents the filling up was the reporters. The engine did not give out. Good bye Love & hope all will be well Chas
