Partially printed document signed by New Hampshire Governor Joseph Gilmore and Secretary of State Benjamin Gerrish. Indicates that Sarsons took the oaths of allegiance and office on 17 June 1865. With a red seal intact. New Hampshire state sea on top section.
Captain Eleazer Sarsons joined Company F, 4th New Hampshire Infantry Regiment as a private in 1861 and later served as the First Sergeant in the Company F, 4th New Hampshire Infantry Regiment.
