Henry Cook discusses his infantry and Signal Corps service at Roanoke Island, NC and New Bern, NC.
Henry Cook was born in Montreal, Canada, c. 1939 and moved to Elzabeth, NJ as a teenager. He enlisted in the 9th NJ Volunteers at the beginning of the war, and was then transferred to the Signal Corps. After the war, he returned home and worked for the Elizabeth Daily Herald, which his brother had founded. Later in life he opened the Henry Cook Printshop, which he operated for over three decades. He died in January 1913.
