6 November 1861, Camp Huttonville, VA
Inventory of the goods and effects Joseph McCalla, a private of Captain James R. Kelly's Company (K) 14th Regiment Indiana foot Volunteers who died on the 28th day of August 1861, in the Hospital at Camp Cheat Mountain Summet, VA. The said Joseph McCalla died without being possessed of any property either Real or personal to my knowledge. He has not been paid since his enlistment date. He has pay due him from that time to the date of his death.
The said Joseph McCalla is indebted to the United States for clothing $14.38.
I hereby certify that the above inventory is correct to the best of my knowledge. Done at Camp Huttonville, VA. November 6, 1861.
