Wilson writes to Reverend Flinn. Acknowledges a letter concerning Wilson's father: "It really gives me very deep comfort to hear such word about my father from those who really knew and appreciated him." Also replies that he does not know much about George's studies and preparations for teaching. Wilson has crossed out "Flynn" and inserted the correct spelling, "Flinn."

John William Flinn was a member of the 17th Mississippi Infantry in Barksdale's (Humphrey's) Brigade, McLaw's (Kershaw's) Division.
