Probate document regarding "Martha J. Guthrie Minor heir of Robert and Casandra Guthrie" recording an account of $15 to her guardian, John Alley, for "schooling, clothing, and boarding." Stapp, signing as justice of the peace for Jackson County, attested to an oath taken by Alley.
Stapp was a settler in DeWitt's colony and a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. He held several public offices.
