Tells of his upcoming trial and predicts that he will "receive a free pass to the Spirit world." Mentions receiving many presents and aid, including from Mrs. Spring and Miss Watkins. Expresses his desire to tell her more on his views of religion. Written from Charlestown jail.

My Dear Sister
Your kind lettor of Jan: 6th I received yesterday and [inserted: I] sit down this morning to tell you that I am in excellent health, and very happy, and I hope this will find you the same.
Cheere up, never get down spirited but learn to take things easy, and look alwase on the bright side.
My trial will be on the first of next month when I expect to receive a free pass to the Spirit world, for doing as most eny one would [inserted: like to] be done by.
I receive a grate many presents from meny Dear friends, such as Books Clothing [inserted: money] Confectionarys &c. &c.
I should llike to say a grate deal to you on religion, but I have a grate meny lettor to write and shall not be able to say much, but I will send you a book through the kindness of [2] Mrs. Spring which will give you a grate meny of my views on religion. and I hope you will read it with an open ear. I will send you some verses sent to me by Miss Watkins of Phila she is a very kind Lady.
