Dear Sir,
I take this opertunity to let you know that I am well hoping this will find you enjoying the same good health and spirit I am very much disapinted in not having from you before this for I wrote you a letter some three weeks ago and have received no answer and the girls is also complaining about not wrighting to them before this Well Richard Christmas and New Years is over and as far away as they ever was but I got my wish that was to stay here until this time so you see I am lucky and I think I will be here the rest of my time

Richard I want you to tell me how I you spent you Holy day I hope you enjoyed yourself for I know that I enjoyed my self
Perhaps you would like to know

Well here Goes
Just Christmas Came I was invited to a large party and had a jolly time we staid up all night to go the Catholic Church in the morning about 3 o clock it come out about about 7 o clock A.M. after seeing the girls home I though I would get there on four horses sleigh but in that I was disopinted for the Docter wanted me to fix up a large Christmas tree that I had got the day before and when I got that through it was about 10 o clock so then was no use of goint to bed then
So I fixed up and went out I had had four differen invitation to take dinner but of course I only went to one Miss Hilton and in the afternoon I made calls and in the eavening went to another party and had a good time we broke up about 12 o'clock so that ended Christmas the next eavening went to another party New Year Came We had a grand Ball and [illegible] New Years. I had a grand time making call and in the Eavening went to another Party & that ended the Holiday so now you see if I had not my fun or not
I also recived to or three Christmas gifts which would make you laugh.
Yesterday I saw the Miss Harrison and they asked me when I was a goint to wright to you so they send there love.

I am a going down to the Miss Hollers this eavening I wish you was there now
Barry wants to know the reason that you do not wright
Have little more to say at at Present. Give my Respects to Capt Rodrigues and all of the boys
The Miss Hallers Miss Harrisons and Miss Tiller all send ther love to you
