Written at 8:10 Pacific Time, on USO stationery. Sylvia says she has found a cabin near Mt. Rainer [Washington State] and Camp Lewis [Washington State] and is staying there. Fort Lewis is an Army base in Tacoma, Washington.
USO- (United Service Organizations) Private, nonprofit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services.
